]]> 13.12.2018 – maschine+werkzeug has published a technical report on the robot-based finishing of support elements. Boll Automation provided the solution for the company Vetter Industrie GmbH in Burbach.

Where previously employees manually ground out the support elements with a great deal of time and physical effort, this is now done by a heavy-duty robot. The robot guides a belt grinding train specially developed for the task. Numerous support element variants (with different radii and dimensions) have to be ground. A parametric path programming allows an optimal adaptation of the strategy to the respective machining task.
